Frequently Asked Questions
You Ask, We Answer
The following is a carefully thought-out and curated list of the questions that customers might ask us. If you have a question for us, please go through our list before getting in touch. If you still can’t find the answers you’re looking for, please contact us directly and someone on the team will be happy to assist you.
Where are you based? What days of the week do you offer dog walks currently?
We currently only offer dog walking in the Lisvane and Llandaff (and surrounding) areas of Cardiff. Just Mondays to Fridays at the moment (excluding bank holidays). We are a new business and can't cover weekends, but that may change in the not-too-distant future.
How do I book a dog walk?
Open the 'Contact Us' tab and either using the form provided, the email or the telephone number you can contact our bookings team who will tailor your request to you and your pet's every need.
Do I have to pay for my dog walk before the walk or afterwards?
Once the bookings team have discussed your needs and agreed the services you require, then you can pay for them via the 'Pay Online' tab. You can book multiple walks here, of varying duration and at different times of day, as long as this is all pre-agreed with the bookings team.
Do I have to have a home visit from the vet before starting walking?
No, the welcome consultation is completely optional. We understand it might not always be possible, for whatever reason, but the way in which we will fully cater for you and your pet's unique needs, and give you both exactly what you need, is by having this expert assessment. The vet visit is there so that your pet, other pets walked and our dog walkers are all kept as safe as is possible. But we also understand not everyone wants this assessment, that is why we have kept it as an optional extra for those who would like this 5* treatment from us.
What will the vet do when they visit?
The vet visit is to collect and collate information about your pet's medical and emotional history from you, the owner, who knows your dog best. It is possible (in the case of rescue dogs for example) that you do not have a complete history, but this part of the visit is vital for the vet to form a picture of your pet. The next part is the meet and greet, the vet will then assess your pet emotionally (generally using a variety of treats and games to see how your pet reacts in certain situations) and physically (a clinical examination, again based on your pet's emotional state). Finally, the vet will take your pet for a short walk outside your home to assess behaviour outside on a lead.
Once my home visit has been done and walk(s) are booked and paid for, what happens next?
Our bookings team will arrange for one of our dog walkers to come and meet you and your pet and discuss access to the property and any specific requests that you may have. This will be at least a few days prior to your first walk commencing so any issues can be clarified prior to the first walk.
